About us....
(Annie, Heidi, Mom)
Is it possible for two daughters and their Mom (all of whom are teachers) to invent, patent, manufacture, market and sell an innovative new product AND still glove each other!? YES!
Telefingers evolved from necessity; On a cold day in Chicago, Annie watched as her mother Kathy drew her ringing smartphone to her face and slid the "answer" button with her nose to avoid removing her gloves. While very impressed with her mother's clever method, Annie thought, 'there has to be another option.'
One luxury of being a teacher is summer break. For these three ladies however, last summer was anything but a "break." Many long summer nights were spent brainstorming, testing and developing (occasionally followed by a glass of wine or two, but who's judging?). By August, they had created Telefingers. Then came the patent, the manufacturing, and the marketing.
Kathy has taught computer related courses for twenty years. Annie is a college professor, teaching International Business. Heidi is an aspiring elementary art teacher who also teaches adults and children with disabilities. They may not seem like the most likely group of people to build a successful business from the ground up, but they share a unique blend of creativity, determination and intelligence.
Most importantly, they have a lot of fun when they spend time together so this entire process has been a blast for them. Now, less than a year after that cold spring day when Kathy answered the phone with her nose, Telefingers can be spotted on busy hands on just about every bus, train or sidewalk in Chicago, their hometown. ...and throughout the U.S., Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., France, Spain........
